Jake was a good dog loyal, playful, full of life. But in 2004, everything changed. His glossy golden coat thinned, itchy patches kept him restless, and no amount of love could make him comfortable.

The vet eventually found the culprit: wheat. A simple ingredient in nearly every treat Jake loved had been making him miserable. Back then, finding safe alternatives was almost impossible.

As more dogs began struggling with food sensitivities over the years, I knew something had to change. In 2022, I created Pooch’s Cupboard—a place where dogs with allergies and sensitivities come first.

Using wholesome fruits, nutritious veggies, and wheat‑free flour blends, I craft artisan dog treats by hand right here in Courtice. Every batch is made with care, so no pup has to suffer for a simple snack.

Today, countless dogs wag with excitement at treat time no itching, no discomfort, just pure joy. Jake’s struggle inspired it all, and his story continues to guide every treat I make.
